'Maeve' Sparkling Release Party-Sunday November 10

 Launch of Sparkling Rose

We invite you to celebrate the release of our first Sparkling wine! Much hard work and passion has gone into creating just 220 cases of this limited release wine. It is named after 'Maeve' our Golden Retriever who has a vibrant and effervescent personality. These qualities are reflected in this Sparkling Rose which is made from 100% Pinot Noir in the traditional method.

Featuring a superb menu by Honey Child’s Creole Catering. Honey Child curates bespoke menus that are always sourced from local seasonal ingredients. They are known for their boldness of flavour, authentic & historical foundation, and the fun loving environment that they take with to each and every service. Their food is made in small batches using fresh, seasonal, and natural ingredients.

Entertainment will be provided by Tony Mak. Tony is a well known and talented solo acoustic musician with a wide repertoire ranging from the ‘60s to current hits.

All tickets include: A glass of Maeve Sparkling Rose, Tastings of Wobbly Boot wine, Your chosen meal and Live music.

Tasmania is producing some of the best gins in the world. We have selected three contrasting styles from Southern Midlands distilleries for you to enjoy.

Our flight comprises a tasting of Embezzler, Poltergeist and Tasmanian Raspberry accompanied with Capi tonic water and garnishes.

If you have a favourite we can mix a G & T for you to sip amongst the vines or take a bottle home.

Wine for Wildlife

Did you know that every time you visit Wobbly Boot or enjoy one of our wines you are contributing to wildlife rescue and animal welfare?

Our business model is based upon making a difference to the environment that the animals live in. This is done by planting trees and shrubs to increase the habitat for wildlife on the property. Stage one involved planting 300 trees and we are currently planting an additional 100 natives.

Recently an article was published by the Wildlife Land Trust where our philosophy was outlined:

At Wobbly Boot Vineyard we combine our two loves – animals and wine. We believe that the vineyard is not a monoculture, but an environment integrated harmoniously into its surroundings. Every decision made regarding our farming practices is determined by how it can enhance and protect the owners of the land – the animals.

In six years, the property has been transformed from a former shooting range to a vibrant and healthy ecosystem with abundant wildlife. The animals have returned and the property has become known for its conservation activities and fundraising initiatives for wildlife rescue organisations.

The vineyard draws upon organic, sustainable and permaculture practices. We believe that working in harmony with nature, not only is the right thing to do but leads to better quality wine. Often farmers perceive wildlife as ‘pests’ and a threat to their livelihood. We take the opposite view and have worked hard to increase habitat and to establish crop protection systems with high grade netting and animal proof fencing. No herbicides are used under the vines which has led to a thriving insectarium and improved soil quality. The worm population and microbial activity has increased dramatically.

Our visitors choose to visit Wobbly Boot Vineyard as they want to see wildlife and are willing to support a business that gives back to the community.

Recently we have commenced Wine and Nature tours around the property. Guests can see first-hand how simple measures can be taken to protect the environment and hopefully become inspired themselves to make changes on their own property.

We are very passionate about what we do and proud to use the WLT symbol as an acknowledgement and validation of our philosophy.
