The Williams Family

LYNDA

Lynda has a career in food, nutrition, science and hospitality education. Currently she teaches VET Hospitality, Food and Nutrition to year 11 and 12 students.

She has been responsible for creating habitat for wildlife at Wobbly Boot through extensive planting of natives. This has been recognised by the International Humane Society who gave accreditation status to the property in 2016 for her efforts in rewilding.

Lynda enjoys tending the vines and is often reluctant to put down the tools and take a break!

Maeve the vineyard dog has become quite famous for her Wine and Woofs fundraising and is usually the first to greet visitors.

Maeve enjoys everything about vineyard life and especially her daily swim in the dam. She is very photogenic and likes having her photo taken with guests.

Our new vineyard - Maeve's Block is named in her honour.

Our Story

Wobbly Boot derives its name from the unique boot shaped outline of the property.

Our love affair with wine began in our student days when our holidays were spent travelling to the major wine producing regions around Australia and our car was filled with cases of wine before returning home. Later, we explored further afield to Europe and South Africa with itineraries  based around visiting wine growing regions and staying in vineyards. With a passion for growing fruit, vegetables and drinking good wine, it was inevitable that we would end up owning a vineyard.

After a long search for a vineyard that had an excellent site and microclimate, we purchased the Wobbly Boot.  In fact, when we tasted the wine we had to buy the vineyard!

Our business model is based upon 'Giving Back' to the community. We do this by running regular fundraisers for animal welfare and wildlife rescue organisations. Over $80,000 has been raised so far.

Our wines are rarely found in restaurants and bottle shops as we focus upon engaging directly with our customers. We have a strong vineyard membership supporter base who are active participants in vineyard life.
